Annette Rushing United America Pageant and Texas United America Director's Bio
Annette Rushing, known for many years as Miss Annette, has over 25 years of pageantry related experience. From former titleholder, model, pageant coach in interview-modeling, Assistant Director, judge, emcee, Director and most importantly, "Pageant Mom". She is the proud Director of the UNITED AMERICA pageant - offering another choice for competition to the women of the United States of America. There are six age divisions to compete. Miss Annette is also the State Director for the TEXAS UNITED AMERICA pageant which is open to any lady in Texas with a desire to represent their state. Miss Annette has been Director of the Miss Austin Scholarship Pageants - including Youth, Teen and Miss - ranging in age from Baby to 25 years. In addition to being a successful pageant director, Annette has also worked with various TV personalities and media in reference to her pageantry and modeling experience. One of the fun opportunities she had was working with the show entitled "Matchmaker" shown on the Life Channel on National TV. Miss Annette has also been involved with helping to coordinate the documentary for the program called MADE for MTV which was aired on National TV in the spring-2004. Miss Annette has been working with various organizations in and around Austin and Texas and enjoys including her titleholders with the different events. She has helped with many exciting things including celebrities such as Lance Armstrong, Willie Nelson, many politicians, World Figure Skaters and famous actors. She has been invited by various professional organizations across the U.S. to help in judging and consulting. Besides being involved with pageants, Miss Annette has owned her own successful business with her husband for 25 years in Austin, Tx. Miss Annette had worked with such organizations and non-profit groups in the Austin and surrounding areas including: MDA-Jerry Lewis Telethon, Easter Seals, Make-A-Wish Foundation, People's Community Clinic, Children’s Miracle Network, and the Humane Society. Miss Annette has also served as City Councilwoman in the town where she lives. Personal information - Miss Annette graduated in 1963 from Deer Park High School in upper 10% of class. Honors held in school included: Cheerleader all through high school, drama club, basketball manager, tennis team, Class Officer 4 years, Class Favorite 3 years, Most Popular of High School 1 year, Attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Tx. Honors include member of Kappa Delta Sorority, F.F.A. Sweetheart-2 years, R.O.T.C. Company C Sweetheart, chosen All College Beauty, member of the Rodeo Club and college Cheerleader. Miss Annette is very proud of the UNITED AMERICA pageants where she feels we are celebrating the Exceptional Elegance of women from across the United States. The UNITED AMERICA pageant is where women can showcase their character, acknowledge their accomplishments and expand their friendships and community service. The UNITED AMERICA pageant is here to celebrate the freedom of choice, pride of Americans and strength and beauty of women. The UNITED AMERICA pageant is open for competition to women from across the United States of America.
